Sponsored by University of Ghana (UG), Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), University of Cape Coast (UCC), American Society of Public Administration (ASPA), and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), the 2017 International Conference on Public Administration (12th ICPA) & International Symposium on West African Studies (1st ISWAS) was successfully held on November 14-17 in Accra and Cape Coast, Ghana.

Under the strong support from co-sponsors, 2017 ICPA & ISWAS has achieved a fabulous success. Meanwhile, owing to the dedicating work by 2017 ICPA & ISWAS Organizing Committee, the “Proceedings of 2017 International Conference on Public Administration(12th) & International Symposium on West African Studies (1st)” (Volume I & Volume II) has been successfully indexed by ISI Web of Science-Conference Proceedings Citation Index-Social Science & Humanities(CPCI-SSH) (previously known as ISSHP) in the United States.

ISI in USA aims to collect the high quality proceedings with comprehensive and multidisciplinary proceedings worldwide, whose index is one of the worldly recognized criteria for evaluating paper qualities accepted in the proceedings.

The proceedings of International Conference on Public Administration from 2005 to 2017 were successfully indexed by ISI consecutively; Proceedings of 2017 ICPA & ISWAS’s index by ISI demonstrates that high research levels in the fields of China’s public administration and West African Studies have gained more recognition by the international academics.
