2021 UESTC Online Study Abroad Fair ——Series of SPAA Events

On October 2021, during International Education Exchange month, 2021 UESTC Online Study Abroad FairSeries of SPAA Events were held by School of Public Affairs and Administration of UESTC and CWAS of UESTC. For SPAA, University of Nottingham,UK (referred to as UoN); University of Maryland, USA (referred to as UMD) and College of William & Mary, USA(referred to as WM ) were invited to participate in the Fair and introduce their programs, admission policy for postgraduates via [Tencent Meeting]. More than 700 students from School of Public Affairs and Administration, School of Economics and Management and other Schools of UESTC were attracted by these events.


On Oct.18, University of Nottingham was invited to our online event . Ms. Lily Ma, Director of Shanghai Office of UoN, and Dr. Ruby Chau, program director of the School of Sociology and Social Policy introduced the international student program and answered questions from students.

On Oct.20, University of Maryland was invited to participate in the Study Abroad Fair, and Mr. Michael Goodhar, Executive Associate Director of the School of Public Policy Programs and Ms. Taryn Faulkner,Associate Director of Admissions Office introduced the School of Public Policy Programs, graduate Programs of their school and specific admissions policy respectively.

On Oct.21, the online Study Abroad Fair of College of William & Maryon, the Sister University of UESTC, was held, and Jennifer S. Stevenson, associate Dean of the Law School of UMD, was invited to deliver a speech. In her speech, the history of UMD was reviewed and the introduction of the Law School and its Master of Laws program (LL.M.) was given. In Q&A, Jennifer S. Stevenson answered the questions about the majors background requirements, curriculum, career prospects, JD application, etc.


The cooperation between UESTC and above renowned universities build a platform and opens up channels for students to exchange and study abroad, promoting the cultivation of international talents.
