The Visit of Dr. Wendy Heynes from ASPA to UESTC
From 25 to 31 May 2007, Dr. Wendy Haynes, the president of American Society for Public Administration and Mr.Bernie Stewart paid a visit to UESTC.
Prof. WangHouijun, vice-president of UESTC, Dr.JiangBin, director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Prof. ZhuXiaoning, dean of School of Political Science and Public Administration, Associate Prof. ZhaoShurong, director of International Exchange Center of school, together with other teaching staff from school of Political Science and Public Administration welcomed Dr. Wendy Haynes and Mr. Bernie Stewart
After negotiations, an agreement on 2007 ICPA and initial ideas on further cooperation on MPA programs and exchange programs have been reached.
On May 30th 2007, Dr. Wendy Haynes lectured in UESTC and briefed American Society for Public Administration, the developing trends of American public administration and also elaborated the Mega Project Management through case study. This lecture lasted about 2 hours and during which students raised many questions and benefited quite a lot from it. On the same day, Mr. Bernie Stewart, the senior America Real- estate analyst also gave a lecture on A Regional Affordable Housing Strategy for Washington and Kent Counties, Rhode Island by actively exchanging ideas on affordable housing in both China and USA.
