, Mr. Philip Goddard, Head of Academic Partnerships of University of East London
visited
SPSPA of UESTC
to discuss about thedouble
master
degree program and “1 + 3” undergraduate program
between UESTC and UEL
.
Tang Zhiwei, Dean of School of Political Science and Public Administration(SPSPA )
warmly
welcomed Philip Goddard and
expressed the will to
expand further cooperation with the University of East London on the basis of the short-term exchange program in summer. Mr. Zhou Jun,
t
he Chairman of School Council,
presented him a souvenir.
Subsequently, Prof. Zhao Shurong conducted a detailed introduction on
the history, faculty,
courses
,
academic research,
and featured internationalization
of
SPSPA
. Mr. Philip said that he was honored to visit SPSPA.
t
hrough the previous introduction from Prof. Zhao Shurong,
and
he developed a deeper understand of the overall situation. Moreover, he appreciated the warm
est
welcome and
believed
that two universities could corporate in depth on programs of both undergraduates and postgraduates,
following by
the reach of an
consensus
on several aspects for the programs such as
language requirements, application
deadline
, entrance examination
and
training and
etc
.
Regarding the
double
master
degree program
, a
n in-depth discussion was made about the cooperation details on application process, credit conversion and training mode, which laid a solid foundation for signing an agreement.
Philip Goddard visited the E-Governance Lab
,
Public Policy
and
Lab Data Visualization based E-Governance Lab
after the meeting.
The cooperation on

aim to expand
the
international cooperation
,
provide more
opportunities for
students
study
aboard
and
enrich the
ir

visions
.
